Al-Mutaffifin

The small cheat, and the mighty Day

A thumb on the scale: the most ordinary dishonesty there is. The surah begins there and sets it against the Day when all mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds — and shows that the man who shorts his customer is a man who has stopped believing in that Day.
