A clear victory

Fourteen hundred men rode home from al-Ḥudaybiyah having been turned back from Makkah, with a treaty that looked like surrender. On the road, at night, this surah came down — and called what had just happened a manifest victory. The Prophet ﷺ said it was dearer to him than everything the sun rises upon.
