One message, sixteen messengers

“Their reckoning has drawn near to mankind, while they turn away in heedlessness.” After that opening the surah calls its witnesses: prophet after prophet, each in distress, each calling on his Lord, each answered. And it sums up the last of them in a line — a mercy to the worlds.
