Glory be to Him who took His servant by night

One night, in the hardest stretch of his life, the Prophet ﷺ was taken from the mosque at Makkah to the farthest mosque in Jerusalem, and shown some of the signs of his Lord. The surah gives that journey a single ayah. The rest is what he came back with: a Qurʾan that “guides to what is most upright”, and the commandments to live by it.
