Muhammad

Recited by Mishary Rashid al-ʿAfasy

What is shown, and what is not

Only what can be seen in creation: the sky and its lights, the weather, water, the land and what grows from it — each as the word that names it is recited. Nothing with a soul is drawn, no person, animal or bird, and nothing of the unseen: when an ayah speaks of the Hereafter, the angels or the Throne, the world gives way to the light of the lamp and the words are left to be heard. Nothing is heard but the recitation.

Every ayah has its place. The land is laid out from the surah itself, and an ayah is always flown over the same stretch of it — so a passage looped from the player to be learned is the same country every time.
